Titulo da vaga: Accounting Analyst – São Paulo

About Us:

We are a rapidly growing micromobility company specializing in electric scooter rentals. Our mission is to make urban transportation more sustainable and accessible. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst to focus on maintaining accurate and compliant accounting processes within our organization.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to manage key accounting functions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. As our operation is still in its early stages, this role will be instrumental in designing and implementing core accounting processes and controls from the ground up. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, performing reconciliations, and preparing reports. You will also collaborate with internal teams to uphold the integrity of our accounting systems and drive continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
  • Lead and structure month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all supporting documentation is properly transferred to external accountants for timely and accurate reporting
  • Support the preparation of documentation for audits and ensure full compliance with regulatory accounting requirements
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to track and reconcile expenses, inventory, and revenue specific to our scooter rental model
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including managing depreciation schedules for our fleet
  • Design and implement internal control procedures to strengthen accounting processes and improve overall operational efficiency
  • Assist in reviewing tax obligations and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the accounting function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role, with solid knowledge of core accounting principles and standards (GAAP or IFRS)
  • Proven ability to manage accounting operations in dynamic and fast-growing environments
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and internal controls
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively identifying areas for process improvement
  • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the transportation, mobility, rental, or subscription-based service industries
  • Background in audit or advisory roles at Big Four firms is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with managing fixed assets and calculating depreciation, ideally for fleet or equipment-heavy operations
  • Exposure to high-volume transactional environments, with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Prior involvement in implementing or improving accounting processes and internal controls
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, procurement, tax, legal) to align financial reporting with business operations
  • Knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and accounting standards (CPCs), especially related to asset management and service-based revenues

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Career growth opportunities within a high-growth industry
  • A collaborative and innovative work environment
  • The chance to contribute to a more sustainable urban transportation future
