Financial Director – São Paulo

Role Description

This is a full-time Financial Director role based in both Nouve Soure and São Paulo, SP, allowing the flexibility for remote work. The Financial Director will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analyzing financial statements, managing finance operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a hybrid role that will require working from São Paulo, SP, the Sono Brazil Production Site as well as some remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support company objectives and growth plans.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Manage financial planning and analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards including compliance with Brazilian corporate taxes and payroll taxes and lead submissions to relevant government authorities.
• Manage effective payroll accounting and related tax submissions.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and risk management activities.
• Ownership of relationship with banks and financial partners in Brazil
• Ownership of audit process and related accounting submissions
• Working with group finance team to build best in class financial reporting on group level and lead finance team locally in Brazil
• Be a sounding board for the local MD and drive commercial decision making on the ground to maximise the benefit to the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of Brazilian financial regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools. SAP Business One – advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint with strong report writing and communication skills is required.

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:

• Experience in the manufacturing ,food and beverage industry advantage
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
• CPA or CFA certification – advantage
