Product Owner Specialist I – São Paulo

We are in search of a Product Owner to join our team as we strive for the continuous evolution of our digital products and the ongoing enhancement of our agile governance framework. This individual will bear the responsibility of facilitating communication with our Business partners, engaging with internal teams and most importantly, collaborating with the Squads that develop our solutions.

We expect a strong skill set in management, along with experience in executive reporting and active participation in strategic forums aimed at solution development and action definition. In this role, communication, self-organization ability and management skills are the keys for the successful execution of daily activities within a dynamic environment receptive to new ideas and trends.

Below are some of the responsibilities required for this position:

• Collaborate with involved teams, including Business, Operations and Engineering, to negotiate, manage, and maintain the development backlog, ensuring clarity and precision in functional requirements, whether for new products or feature enhancements, while considering regulatory constraints and the inherent risks associated with the ever-evolving business needs.
• Lead and facilitate Discovery and Solutions Design sessions for new functionalities, new requirements or the creation of new products, utilizing techniques and tools for problem analysis, contributing to the definition of hypotheses to be considered, and proposing viable solutions.
• Develop and manage a quarterly deployment plan, understanding and accounting for the team’s capacity to distribute deliverables throughout the quarter. The Product Owner is accountable for structuring and prioritizing what the Squad will implement.
• Aid in the management and prioritization of the implementation backlog, aligning it with the defined OKRs.
• Drive the development of governance and processes to propagate an agile culture, foster a product-oriented mindset, and disseminate knowledge to enhance the Business Agility of the area/company.
• The Product Owner must understand how to structure the product/implementation roadmap, ensuring consistency in the information contained within functional requirements documents and user stories. They will be responsible for establishing timelines and providing clear and objective communication regarding any potential deviations and risks that may threaten the plan.
• Structure reports for stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of information, consistency, and quality of the message.
• Finally, this position requires daily English conversation to engage with international teams.

Qualifications

Necessary Technical Skills:

• Completed Graduation
• Fluent/Advanced English – will be assessed during the interview
• Previous experience as a Product Owner
• Knowledge of Agile Methods (Scrum/Kanban)
• Desired knowledge in facilitating Discovery and Solutions Design sessions
• Experience in metrics management: Lead Time, Throughput, Burndown, and WIP is a plus
• Familiarity with the OKR methodology
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira (or similar), utilizing dashboards or filters is a plus
• Product Owner certification is a plus
• Training and courses in digital products are considered advantageous
