What’s the role?

 

As Senior Manager, Wireline and Information Communications Technology (ICT), you will guide a team that is charged with the ideation, technical and commercial development, launch, and ongoing management post launch success of fixed/wireline products and related ICT products.  Ensure existing product performance, which extends from growing the customer base, increasing the profitability, and ensuring sales in accordance with the business plan. The role is also responsible for pricing strategies of the product portfolio and the requirements around billing, activation/provisioning, Define KPIs and OKRs and visualization/tracking dashboards and work with the BI team to implement them in our visualization systems, ensuring key areas have access to them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage product portfolio of Internet, telephony, and video services (including managed services) and ICT solutions such as cybersecurity software, networking equipment, cloud transformation technologies, IoT solutions, among others.
  • Lead product development efforts on a project basis using quality tools to deliver valuable services to customers.
  • Lead the roadmap. Make tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term. Build trust with partners by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap and meeting launch timelines.=
  • Design customer journeys for each product and ensure development and product evolution efforts lead to more effortless interactions and more value delivered to customers, while maintaining desired company profitability.  Develop uses cases and prioritize requirements. Translate market observations and customer feedback into a prioritized product backlog. Author uses cases based on specific real-world product applications and extrapolate detailed product requirements for the scenarios.
  • Define and manage pricing strategies for fixed & wireline customers across all segments (SOHO, SMB, and Large Enterprises)
  • Develop product bundles that deliver value to customers and increases penetration of ICT products in the base.
  • Lead strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. 
  • Prepare ongoing competitive analysis to ensure Liberty remains competitive in terms of product offering, value, and pricing.  Recommend and implement changes to portfolio and prices based on findings.
  • Prioritize and lead development efforts – identify interdependencies, anticipate bottlenecks, and handle trade-offs to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
  • Build consensus on strategic, design, and technical decisions to ensure high quality deliverables.
  • Work with the strategy and Go to Market execution team – enabling efficient teamwork, building consensus, and facilitating communication and collaboration across multiple partners with challenging priorities.
  • Specify market requirements for existing and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
  • Identify new video product and service solutions with internal and external development partners to resolve the best solution to fulfill product and business requirements.
  • Identify video product improvement areas and work cross-functionally to implement these improvements through development of clear functional requirements.
  • Drive video product development cycle represent and champion the product during the development lifecycle.
  • Serve as liaison between product management, sales, marketing, business operations and development teams for product definition and product requirements.
  • Develop Product Guide in preparation for launch.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for product testing, release and launch planning.
  • Communicate the product vision, requirements, progress/status, and interpersonal needs to all levels in the company including executive management while delivering new products or product enhancements on-time and within budget.
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America’s policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
  • Other functions may be assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has supervisory responsibility over product and pricing/offer specialists. 

 

What do you need?

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (computer, electrical), MBA preferred or equivalent

6-9 years of experience with new products or technological development

Project Management experience highly desired

Pricing experience is a must

Other Qualifications:

  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Experience operating in an environment motivated by critical metrics where you had the ability to resolve the best course of action to meet your goals.
  • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team with validated experience in data decision-making.
  • Clear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in our product space.
  • Ability to be self-directed and to anticipate problems and seek opportunities.
  • Understanding of and experience working in a development environment.
  • Solid understanding of product development / product management lifecycle.
  • Consistent track record of success in coordinating product development projects is a plus.
  • Ability to formulate product marketing business plans, competitive analysis and product marketing requirement documents.
  • Able to multitask and perform in a fast paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Knowledge of cable television industry, advertising industry, opposing media, as well as specific knowledge of photo classified and direct mail products.
  • Relevant product and Telecom industry knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate efficiently.
  • Ability to relate well both with the public and with employees at all levels.
  • Computer-literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel.
